Resumen
This investigative work seeks to determine the effect of narration as a didactic strategy in the communicative reading skills of seventh grade students from the School of the Sacred Heart in the municipality of Puerto Colombia-Atlántico. This investigation has a quantitative approach and implements a correlational method for the measurement of two variables, articulated with a quasi-experimental design, pretest and posttest, framed in the positivist paradigm. For the realization, development and analysis of the investigation, two groups were selected, a control group formed by the union the courses of the seventh degree B and D, and another experimental group, formed by the course of the seventh degree C. What is described above is intended to identify whether there are significant differences between the two groups, after the intervention of the experimental group with the didactic strategy in reading communication skills through narration. The intervention was carried out during eight continuous months from the subject of Spanish and was developed in three phases: a first phase of diagnostic type, pretest, where an evaluation was implemented in order to know the level of communicative skills readers of the groups: control and experimental. Subsequently, a second phase of intervention with the experimental group based on narration as a didactic strategy during this phase the control group continued to give their classes as they had done before. Finally, a last phase of evaluation, posttest, whose objective is to measure the effect of the didactic strategy based on the narrative in the reading communicative competences of the students. Statistical analysis was performed using a t-student test. The main results concluded that the students in the intervention group showed statistic and significantly lower results before the intervention. In addition, the experimental group showed statistic and significantly higher results than the control group in the posttest.
